installation and anchoring applications. It is free from halogens.

Applications

► Installation and anchoring of injection anchors, such as Wiborex (steel)
anchors or FRP-Rods (plastic anchors) (“liquid resin into anchor”).

► Installation of rock bolts and anchor support systems (“anchor into
liquid resin”).

Component Description

CarboThix R 2 – Component A – Special liquid sodium silicate with
additives.

CarboThix R 2 – Component B – Modified polyisocyanate.

Operating Principle

The two components are pumped by a two-component pump at a 1:1 volumetric
ratio and thoroughly mixed in a static mixer.

After mixing, the resin instantly reaches a grease-like viscosity,
preventing the mixture from flowing even in large cracks and voids.

The mixture then cures to form a solid resin. The cured material has a
relatively low modulus of elasticity combined with high strength, ensuring
uniform transfer of localized rock stresses along the entire length of the
anchor.

CarboThix 2 – Component B: 21 kg metal canister.

Storage

Storage Conditions and Shelf Life

Shelf life: At least 12 months from the date of manufacture when stored in
a dry place at temperatures between +5°C and +30°C.

Equipment

Two-component pumps with manual, pneumatic, or electric drive, along with
injection accessories such as packers/sealing packers, injection and
discharge hoses, shut-off valves, nipples, coupling fittings, and clamps.
